WELCOME TO THE PRERELEASE!

We have a very small number of units available. We release those in small batches, so if you missed one be sure to join the newsletter to be notified.

WHAT'S PRE-RELEASE?

Prerelease means you get access to the unit before everyone else and get to submit feature requests and take part in the decision-making. You'll be invited to the Pre-release Workspace where you'll connect with the design team to share your ideas. You'll also be mentioned in the credits in the official manual.

ABOUT SPOTYKACH

Spotykach is a dual-deck time-traveling looper that lets you record, twist, slice, and drift through sound history. Inspired by reel tape (1960s), digital slicing (1990s), and modern algorithmic chaos. Built for live experimentation and open-source hacking.

Spotykach is designed and built in Europe & USA. Design and development are done in Berlin, DE (Vlad Livinenko) & Rotterdam, NL (Roey Tsemah), and electronics engineering in Colorado, USA (Nick Donaldson). The aluminum enclosure is made in the Netherlands. Assembly is done in Rotterdam, NL by a group of synth nerds (drop by, if you’re around central station!).

FAQ

1. What exactly is the pre-release?

The pre-release is a small early batch of Spotykach units shipping before the official launch. You get the full instrument—no cut features, no weird beta casing—plus a few perks for being an early supporter. You’re not just buying early, you’re helping shape where this thing goes.

2. Is this a beta version?

Nope. These are finished, working units. The firmware will keep evolving (based on community input), but the hardware is solid. It’s not a prototype, it’s just early access—with a direct line to the devs.

3. When will my unit ship?

We’re aiming to ship in June 2025, with a hard backstop at early July—just in time to mess with loops all summer.

4. How do I give feedback or vote on features?

You’ll get access to the prerelease workspace as well as our private Discord forum where you can propose ideas, vote on features, and chat directly with us and other early users. Plus, we’ll send monthly update emails with progress, polls, and sneak peeks.

5. Will I get firmware updates after the official launch?

Absolutely. Everyone in the pre-release gets the same updates as public users (and probably a few early sneak previews, too). We’re building this with you, not just for you.

Eurorack compatibility

Spotykach is not 3U. Here is why:

Eurorack cases are often a mess of patch cables, which makes hands-on performance with touch pads awkward. Spotykach is built for tactile interaction, so instead of cramming it into a standard 3U Eurorack format, we gave it a custom enclosure with more space, better ergonomics, and additional features. It’s designed to sit just below your Eurorack case—where your hands naturally are—and stay out of the cable chaos.

Even though it’s not 3U, Spotykach is fully compatible with Eurorack signals (in and out), supports line-level I/O, includes MIDI I/O on the back, and can be powered via USB.
