Discover the craft of building electronic music instruments - Build your very own Touch2 - a synthesizer with customizable faceplates and firmware. This hands-on workshop is perfect for electronic music enthusiasts of all levels, offering a unique, educational experience.
Kit + Soldering Iron (Pinecil 2!)
We have a limited number of Pinecil 2 soldering irons available as part of your kit. Normally priced at over €70 with the power supply, you can grab one for just €60 when you join the workshop.
Pinecil 2 is a top-tier soldering iron suitable for both beginners and pros. It’s compact, easy to use, and ideal for home or travel projects. We trust it for all our workshops!

Workshop Structure
Assembling and Soldering
We’ll kick off with 1-2 hours of assembling and soldering the components for your Touch2. You’ll dive into the architecture of this innovative instrument with no prior experience required. We’ll provide all the tools and materials. You’ll even get to flash some code and bring your Touch2 to life.
Jamming and Learning the Instruments
Once your Touch2 is built, it’s time to jam! In the next 1-2 hours, you’ll explore live playing with Touch Bass, String, and FX, experimenting with open-source instruments from the Synthux community. Get ready for an electrifying session.
No Experience Required
Soldering can feel daunting, but don’t worry! We’ve designed our instruments to be beginner-friendly, and our team will provide hands-on guidance to make sure you succeed. All tools are provided, and we’ll be there to help every step of the way.
What to Bring?
Soldering Iron
If you’re opting for the kit without the Pinecil 2, please bring your own soldering iron.
Other Tools
We’ll provide essentials like solder and pliers, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer!
Computer
We’ll handle the firmware flashing for you, but if you want to bring your own computer, go ahead! It’s not required.
Portable Speakers
For the jam session, having your own speaker would be awesome. Just make sure it has an audio input and bring a mini-jack cable to connect your Touch2.
